Should TV stations edit their live content?

Lately, several celebrities have used profanity or made political statements on live television, which has then been quickly editted or bleeped out. Should this occur?

Yes, to keep the program decent for their viewers, stations should edit content

don't need to see half naked people or someone cussing. .

Television stations should have absolute control over what is ultimately broadcast. Stations should (and some do) have an official statement of acceptable conduct and enforce it.

But then some mighty celebrity can't think of anything intelligent to say, so she says something crude and it's just offensive, unnecessary, and vulgar. If I sit down knowing I'm watching a show with profanity, . then I have nothing to complain about. But, if I sit down thinking I'm going to watch some pleasant, entertaining show, and then somebody's nasty, it's shocking. (I guess that's why they do it). I'm glad the television stations are at least trying to. adhere to some sort of morality!

No, it violates my right to hear other people's free speech. I can decide what I want to listen to,

Democracy, freedom, truth!

We were fighting for it for centuries.

Kids access to it is a different story though...

Children shouldn't be watching most of these programs in question, anyway, so really, it should be adults watching and they should turn it off if they're offended.

I agree, people should have the right to hear the real deal.
