Should Businesses Cater to Breast Feeding Moms?

Breast feeding is the best way to feed your baby but still their are people you have a hard time seeing a mother feeding their infant this way. Should businesses provide areas for breastfeeding moms?

I would go to a store just b/c I knew there was a comfy, private, non-stinky place to BF!

And, when baby was done eating, you can bet I'd shop there, instead of at the competitors who thought I should a) go risk my safety and comfort and BF in my car, b) sit in a smelly bathroom, or c) sit in the middle of the mall and go for it, thus . offending some and (possibly?) arousing others! And, while they're at it, could they throw in something for my preschooler to do while she waits for her sibling to get fed? I don't ask for much...

I think that its still indecent, if such a convenience is offered it should come with wall dividers.
Whats greastfeeding? lol
on a pure commercial aspect I think the idea is great, i agree, if I was a mother I would want the same thing, and I would shop with those who help me out.

Yes, providing this service will promote brand loyalty

Mothers are more likely to patronize businesses who give good service and additional accommodations. And if faced with a choice between shopping and their child's health, safety and nutrition, guess what mothers will choose?

a business has to cater to all members of the family and that includes mom while she is nursing. . I business would only see positive benefits from providing a comfy room for nursing moms.

No, feed the baby at home!

No, it's NOT a constitutional right

Breast feeding a child is a personal, BONDING time between mother & child....

Isn't that what mothers always stress?...It's natural and good for the baby, etc...

Ok, then leave ME out of it....do it at home....NOT in public places, please...

Breastfeeding a child IS a personal, BONDING time between mother and child, as is feeding your child cereal when he turns 4 months old. Every stage of your child's life should be a bonding time. I get VERY upset when I hear about people getting so IRATE over this issue. This is such a NATURAL thing. If there were more businesses that gave breastfeeding mothers a small, convenient, quiet area to feed their babies.... I am SURE that there would be less mothers that resort to formula. We would be creating a more healthy society, physically as well as emotionally.
I agree, that is something that often turns into indecent exposure. I mean what about the OTHER mothers who are walking their children around in the mall and a little boy sees a baby sucking on it's mothers nipple? "Mommy what is that? and why is the baby sucking on it?" I mean its something that can really wait till you find a more appropriate place. Like a bath room at least.
If you have such a problem watching people eating, you should be the one who stays home. Or maybe you should seek professional help.

Babies need to eat just like everyone else. You think they should be forced to wait to eat or to be fed formula (both things doctors recommend against) or, heaven forbid, to eat in a room where people defecate, just because you are apparently afraid of body parts that ALL MAMMALS (including, I assume, yourself) have??? I'm sorry, but that's CRAZY.

Not to mention the fact that you will see a lot more breast in the magazine aisle of any local convenience store than you will when most women breastfeed.
