Medical Alert Devices...Lifesavers or Sources of Discrimination?

Do medical alert devices such as bracelets and pendants save lives..or do they announce to employers and/or prospective employers that you are not healthy?

Employers DO discriminate if they know you have health problems..like diabetes. They immediately think about how much this person is going to raise their medical insurance claims and will hire someone else.

It's a proven fact that medical IDs save lives but I know a lot of people who won't wear them...especially at work because they don't want others to know about their health problems.

The problem isn't in the device user, its in the employer. The Device is a necessity, and employers can and should get over it.
