Global warming is probably real but only to an extent. We have to keep it in perspective.

There have been catastrophic climate changes in the world over time and they were not connected to the actions of man. The great Ice Age happened long before man was supposedly messing up the atmosphere. . We have to step back and observe the entire history of the planet before we decide that there is a global warming going on. And we have to be careful not to blame it all on our lifestyle practices. Extreme climate changes can and do just happen.

True that climate changes DO happen at random, but I think that you were on the right path saying that we need to observe things over. I think that we effect the environment a lot more negatively than some thing. In the last 20 years the north cap has melted 30% !!!!! And that rate is still plowing forward and getting steeper. NOTHING like that has happened ANYWHERE in history before. WE are doing something wrong. Within the next 30 years there won't BE a north cap at all, just water, and a few evacuated coastal cities.
Although climate change has happened in the past, we can't simply carry on pumping billions of tonnes of greenhouse gases and chemicals into the atmosphere, and expect there to be no consequences.

Data from the UK Met Office shows that the hottest ten years ever recorded were within the last two decades. These temperature readings are pretty accurate as the met office only use mercury thermometers within Stevenson Screens - a ventilated white box.

The year 2008 was tenth warmest on record, exceeded by 1998, 2005, 2003, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2001, 2007 and 1997.

If we put human betterment before the preservation of natural sytems, then nature will deal us a nasty hand.

all things, Earth is going to go through changes. Some of these changes are going to have nothing to do with us as humans or what we do. I think that media scaring us on a daily bases is doing more harm than good.

Global Warming is just that. The media along with celebrities and politicians tend to pick causes and run wild with them. It wasn't that long ago that they believed the earth was cooling and we were facing another ice age.

. There are scientists on both sides of this debate and I think it is very important that we, as good citizens of Earth, know the facts before making a judgment. We also need to know that just because someone says its real, that it is still worth . doing our own research to confirm. It goes back to "don't believe everything you hear.".
