Can you criticize the Bush Administration and still be patriotic?
People who criticize the president and his policies are often labeled as unpatriotic. Is this fair?

You can absolutely criticize the government and still love your country
Isn't that what this country all about and why people wanted to live here? What is the saying - I MAY NOT AGREE WITH YOU BUT IF WILL DEFEND YOUR RIGHT TO SAY SO. I believe it went something like that...Freedom without your thoughts and spoken word being edited by someone in power.

The office is worthy of respect and admiration, but the . person may not be. Just because someone doesn't like his policies doesn't mean they don't love the USA...in fact, many are passionate about our country and it's from that passion that their frustration and anger comes!
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." --Theodore Roosevelt.
