Is Bottled Water Better for you than tap water?
We're spending millions of dollars buying bottles of water, some with designer labels, because we assume it's better for us than our own tap water. But is that really true?

Bottled water has high standards set by the FDA to ensure that it's content is safe for consumers.
The water bottling industry must laugh themselves all the way to the bank at the money Americans put
The bottles are where the cost lies. Bottling water contaminates the liquid and many times the water in those bottles is nothing more than TAP water run through a filter or two, if that.
You have to know your city's water, but in general, regular tap water is safe and "free."

It makes a lot more sense to invest in our own bottles and fill them up ourselves. Also, a lot of bottled water doesn't contain flouride, which kids really need for strong teeth. I was surprised to find out that even filters like Brita filter out flouride, so I've been giving my kids a lot more tap water to make sure they get their. flouride.
