Would you marry for money?
This is one question which I am sure many people would be interested in. Money is important, there is no doubt about that but do you think a person should marry for money? Money can buy almost anything but can it buy real happiness and true love? Wou

To marry for money is nothing short of long term prostitution.

Isn't "money issues" the number one reason people divorce in our country?!

Yes, money is the most important thing in the world.
Hey, if the woman is loyal to her husband it doesn't matter for what reason she married him. Financial security is how many marriages start, as in other countries. Love may come later. Plus, what girl doesn't want that rock on her finger?
most divorces happen over a fight about money. You will find more often than not that people who have this dreaming idea of love and the ones that will end up broke and divorced. People who are realistic and know that you have to have some sort of security in a relationship go into of with their eyes open. .
No, money is not everything.
No, but I also believe few people who marry for money realize that's what they're doing.
-- Posted By vondelous on September 19, 2007People generally get married because of attraction -- money is one root cause of attraction, but not usually a very durable root. If people were honest with themselves about their reasons for marriage, we'd have way fewer marriages altogether.
To marry for money is nothing short of long term prostitution.
-- Posted By eastwind on September 14, 2007if people are marrying JUST for the money, then I feel there is no difference in that than to prostitution. You are choosing to be with this person, not because of love, but because of money and security. .

-- Posted By flippinsweet on September 13, 2007Why on earth would you marry for money, then? .
I wont deny the fact that money is important but marrying for money is simply craziness.
-- Posted By angelme on September 13, 2007How can a marriage survive when it is based on money? Marrying for money is not uncommon but it is crazy even to think that one can live happily in such a kind of marraige. . True, money can buy many things but it can not buy happiness in a marriage. .
Marrying for money runs contrary to all my morals/ethics. I will marry for love and nothing else.
-- Posted By Perdie on September 17, 2007Money is nothing. What matters is love, loyalty, fidelity, and all the intangible values. Money can't make you happy deep inside. It can't be there for you when you are sad or afraid, and it can't comfort you the way someone who loves you can.
