Should the Atlanta Falcons reinstate Michael Vick after the dog fighting incident?

After pleading guilty to his dog fighting case that was brought up against him, should the NFL reinstate Michael Vick after he does his time? Common sense leads us to vote a resounding “No!”

Engaging in an illegal act is enough reason to ban him for life.

I think dog fighting is disgustingly horrific...he should be punished for what he has done, and karma has its way of working things out...but what he really needs is some community service, working with abused dogs in a shelter...

Don't Reinstate Michael Vick

You know, I am the first person to say that you should make the role models for your children and not look up to these people. Here is a perfect example of why. However, this dude is just an idiot and will just be a distraction to the sport. People don't want him there. People don't support him. And it will probably cause a liability for the team to keep him on at this point. The worst domestic terrorist group in the US, after all, is PETA. Pun intended: this guy screwed the pooch. He should be classy enough to just walk away and not embarass the organization anymore.

Reinstating Vick will only send the wrong message to the fans and players.

If Michael Vick is reinstated, it will then say to the fans and more importantly, the players of the NFL that it is okay to be part of something which is illegal and then get back up on the horse as if nothing was wrong. . Reinstating Vick will only lead the public and the fans to question the morals and values that the commissioner and the NFL stands by. The implication is that as long as the player is talented, he can get away with whatever he wants.

Since dog fighting is an illegal act, the offense of Michael Vick should warrant the pro football player’s suspension from playing professional football. . This is something that is very serious and since it’s an illegal act, it should be treated as a grave offense not only by the state but most importantly, also by the league.

It's hopeless to wish, but I think all athletes should be held to a certain standard of behavior. Instead they behave outrageously and we keep feeding them the money to do so. .
