The behavior of the Republicans has shown they don't want adult participation.
Ron Paul has shown Guliani and the other party hacks to be complete frauds.
-- Posted By Existential_Center on September 11, 2007Guliani went into a rage when Paul stated the obvious, that our 9-11 had nothing to do with Arabs "hating our freedom".
It goes without saying that there is no direct connection between Iraq and 9-11 anyway.
Republicans clearly don't want to discussion of key policies such as the Iraq War
-- Posted By Existential_Center on September 11, 2007They've made it obvious that they don't want Ron Paul to participate in their debates. . How can people make intelligent decisions without open and honest debate?
Ron Paul is principled, which is why he is such an outsider in the Republican Party. He's an oddball in that bunch.
The Republican Party isn't about free exchange of ideas, its about pushing the agenda forward.
George Bush was handpicked before he ran for office. "The people" had no say in that.
-- Posted By Existential_Center on September 11, 2007The Sean Hannity/Limbaugh's of the radio are just complete party hacks as well. There to keep the sheep in line.
The Republicans have followed their agenda consistently for 150 years. Build the empire.
Presidential politics are a dog and pony show for Oprah viewers, not for serious people.
-- Posted By Existential_Center on September 11, 2007The debates are staged media events, not serious policy debates. High school debate teams couldn't get away with the nonsense they display.
Have you ever called a Republican representative to ask about their view on a key issue? It's rare that they will tell you. This system is becoming completely unworkable.

What is at the heart of true liberalism? Is it no more than the Yang to the Yin of Fox News and the Republican party? For the sake of us all, it had better not be.
