There will always be a certain struggle between opposing forces that can only end in further conflict. That is how history is designed. The drive for a plural society and tolerance is in the best case a fallacy.

What is terrorism for us could be a manifestation of the strife that is deeply rooted on the clash between Islam on one side and Christianity on the other. The events at 9/11 shows that the status quo can be replaced by borderless conflicts. The events at 9/11 is the reality of international affairs that can exist outside the formal structure. The fact that it can be jostled by some fundamentalist tells us that there are things outside the control of the current world system.

...and to the more informed.. 9/11 showed us that the Israelis are really expert at espionage .. even if their intentions are supported by some of us
