Abortion is required so as to get rid of complicated births.
Abortion will be pursued by women desirous of it whether it's moral, just or neither.
-- Posted By Jake_the_Mad on September 12, 2007Whether it's moral or not, women who want an abortion will seek them. The only difference between illegal and legal abortions is whether or not women will have to get sub-par, inferior care in the process.
Abortion is an intensely personal matter between the parents and their physician
-- Posted By flippinsweet on September 14, 2007There are few but appropriate times for abortion: mom's life in danger, when pg is result of a crime and I can't think of too many more. It shouldn't be used as a form of birth control, that's for sure! . But, it needs to be an option for a woman, her partner, and her doctor to discuss sometimes. .
It so happens that what should be one of the most wonderful things of life turns out to be a result of crime. That pregnancy which happens due to the actions of criminals must not allowed to be carried to its full length but should always be terminate.
too many people kill unborn children for convienence. Human life is worth more than that. .
Aren't you in the wrong column, moron? There are TOO many people reproducing these days. Ever heard of overpopulation? Letting poor people breed won't solve anything. I don't want all of my taxes spent on foster homes and jails. .
Whatever moral stance you have should not obstruct a woman from doing what she thinks is best.
-- Posted By jhall85 on September 22, 2007abortion seems wrong to me in many cases but who are we to take that option from someone? some children are better off never making it out of the womb than being raised by some parents. adoption is a much more humane option.
Who cares what your opinion is, what matters is what the person decides for themselves.
-- Posted By Jess on September 26, 2007In my opinion, this is one of those topics where it really doesn't matter what any other person thinks except the woman making the decision. Who are you to push your morals on someone else? Ok, I get it, you think it's wrong or immoral or an. abomination against god, whatever. But not everyone believes what you believe. Not everyone feels how you feel. Why legislate away a medical procedure? You may not agree with it, but who are you to decide for someone else?. To me, it's a personal decision and is no one's business but the one making the decision.
In some pregnancies there are many complications which will hinder the person to lead a normal life.
-- Posted By FreeandFrank on September 9, 2007Both mental and physical inabilities in the fetus could justify the termination of that pregnancy. If the baby would be born with severe complications, or mental retardation, is it not the responsibility of the parent to terminate the pregnancy rather than create a life which would not be worth living?. As the "normal" brother of a mentally retarded sister, I see the struggle that she and others endure. That is a life which I would not wish on the worst of my enemies. .
Man has no right to interfere with nature and not go against the will of God.
Killing an unborn fetus is murder--it's ridiculous that animals have more rights than fetuses do.
-- Posted By lindsayloo14 on September 10, 2007If you have ever heard a fetus' heartbeat, or seen an ultrasound of an embryo, you would understand that it is a person, a growing being. To end this being's life is a form of murder and should be illegal.
Sex is used for pleasure, for expressing love between couples, but the ultimate reason sex exists is to procreate and reproduce. To have sex, conceive a child, and kill the being you created is cheating the circle of life and is unnatural.
Sooooo.. I guess that gays and lesbians, or post-menopausal women, or women who have had a hysterectomy, or etc etc, should not have sex ever again because the point is procreation? yeah, that's a solid point of argument. *eye roll*.
As for the argument, one should of thaught of that before engaging in sex, it is possible that percautins were taken and dispite the consequence results in a situation that would cause all parties to suffer for the rest of their natural lives.
I by no means condone it as birth control or population control - I just want to bring attention to the fact that it is a personal decision and resposability.
Plus, society would end up bearing a much larger burden then it already does for unwanted, uncared for and abused children.
Will you be opening the orphanages and caring for them?
Thats what old folks homes are for, and so, adoption, if you didnt want it why did you concieve it in the first place? be responsible and dont kill your mistakes place for adoption there are many families that want children but cant concieve, and PEOPLE KILL THE EXTRA ONES?! thats selfish
EXTRA BABIES?! i mean
I began my arguement with the idea that obortion was fine, but ended up on this side. Heres Why..
-- Posted By Matthew19 on October 7, 2008I belive simply that if god didnt want humans to have abortions, he wouldnt have made it possible for it to happen. Although he did make it possibel for us to kill eachother, does that mean that we should do it because its possible? And if thats true then it being that the child is living as soon as its fertilized then I think that it can be considered murder. Do we kill our humans because they are mind dead and can no longer think, feel, or even remember that they where alive. No we dont.
if god made it impossible and rape murder and genocide are perfectly relevant and existant, we are creatures of sin just cause it happens doesnt make it right buddy..
sorry matthew bud i didnt understand what you were saying at first so, this is now supporting your opinion
Life only has value to the owner of it. In all other cases money, religion, circumstances or social pressures dictate the morality and the heart dictates the ethics of our actions. .
