Why are we complaining about the few precious minutes it takes to help secure us? That's like running a red light and killing someone in the car you plow into for the sake of two minutes. Everyone's time is important. If you really respected your time, you would make it easier on them to do their job and stop causing problems. Look at the bigger picture: your slight inconvenience can save thousands of others from a tragic fate. Thank you for your cooperation!

It is ridiculous that we want to build fences and walls along Mexico, sending the National Guard down there to make sure no one sneaks across the way, but we have one guy patrolling all of the Oregon border. But if you value your lifestyle, you need to make concessions for your safety as well. Of all the things they have done and have asked, is a little hassle at the border all that bad? . Security in other countries has been as tight and tighter than that in the US. The only armed patrol people in the UK work at the airport. . And we have to be realistic about our foreign policy. We aren't very popular abroad and it is of our own doing. You want lighter security? Change your consumerism lifestyle and those around you.

If the beefed up Border control isnt currently preventing serious terrorist threats, than the most ineffective course of action would be weakening the border defense.
