The Father, the Mother, the Father and Mother, jointly or the company who has custody of the frozen embryo or none of the above?

Could the Mother or Father give up rights to the embryo in exchange for not being held responsible for support of the child?. The Mother and Father of the embryo should bear a major responsibility since they acted together to create the circ!@stance.

I'm a little confused at what the issue is and weather or not the issue is widely known enough to be debated.
