Opinion polls do not constitute reason for impeachment, but they can point to problems.

Opinion polls, while not a reasonable criteria for impeachment, do tend to reflect real actions. Involving US in war under questionable pretenses, alienating our long-time allies, acting against our national security - impeachable acts!

Having a sexual relationship and being a gentlemen and not telling - no reason for impeachment since it doesn't affect the job or our country. Linda Tripp's recordings - criminal acts! What's wrong here?
