Based on historical data Montana ranks 13th out of 50 for being conservative. Since the 1996 election it has been voting Republican. This is probably due to an increase of married, middle and upper-middle people. And I know Montana has elected a Dem governor, and I think now has two Dem senators. And I truly believe Obama is going to be competitive in a lot of "non-traditional" states. But I think Obama has a much better chance in New Mexico and Colorado.
