Is Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) Just Another Britney Spears?

After her recent "scandal" in Vanity Fair, is she just going to turn into another slutty Britney or Lohan?

Yeah, she's just like all the rest. Soon she'll be on drugs and shaving her head.

Why would she even agree in the first place to allow a photograph to be taken of her lounging in only a bedsheet? And this by someone who was obviously going to put the photo out to the public eventually. Miley has some manipulation tactics in hand...

Perhaps Miley is doing it for attention but she already gets a lot of attention with her talents and her career. So instead of enjoying life with everything she has, she is ruining it by having people talk bad about her. Only and insane person would want that.

Post an Update or Correction

No, she just had a small mindless moment. She'll bounce back.

When Brit was purporting to be a role model she was already skanking around in her music videos, and her music was very suggestive to say the least. Miley talking the talk and walking the walk. The whole thing with the photog was definitely manipulated by the photog. Otherwise Annie would not be out there apologizing the was she is.

OK, This is my position on the issue..

Personally I don't like the idea of a 15 year girl (mine or someone elses)posing with just a sheet covering her upper body. The piture was not really graphic in nature and it didn't seem to show or suggest any "size, shae or form " of her upper body.

My problem has to do with the acceptance we have come to as a society. It issn't as much the celebrities that have been exploted. Look at the school your children do to. My wife has been a public school teacher in elementary and middle-school for 26 years. She has seen girls coming to school dressed much worse that these pictures even suggest. Cyrus said her parents were there all day at the shot, etc. They made the judgement I think because they handle her affairs (or a manager) since she is underlegal age anyway. I think so far Miley has been a very good example for middle school kides. Vanity Fair magazine is an adult mag not really for kids from what I remember.

SO, Bottom line. I wouldn't put my 15 year old girl in that position but if she was in the "quote Music or Movie industry" and photo sessions are part of the norm in that market. Let it go. She hasn't shown us any sign of doing anything that is blatantly wrong. Her parents could have stopped it if they felt it would cause issues. And you know Disney knew completely about the shoot. They would not have an"A" list player doing something that could effect their ratings on the show.

Miley represent our culture today just as some of the other young stars do. IT all starts at home as far as I'm concerned.

You raise them with good values and morals and teach them how to control themselves when confronted with bad friends or decisions. If you do it well , maybe they will follow it to the "t". But some are going to fall and make there own path. At this age, I feel it was too early for Miley to start making her own decisions related to worldwide exposure. ANd she admits, it was a bad idea.

Let's let these young celebs live their lives, grow up as normal as possible and stop putting them on a high perch. the higher the perch, the farther the fall.

Move on and leave them alone.
