I am so tired of it being a weekly bit of news that yet more children are being abused, harmed, raped, neglected, and used all in the name of religion. I know that it may not be the foundation of that religion itself, but using 'it's the people' as an excuse or an apron to hide behind is just plain wrong.

These 52 girls were removed why? After yet another 16 year old girl is married to a man over 30 years + her senior and how do they find out? She has a child....Now if your average Grandpa decided to marry your average Sophomore in high school in the 'real' world we would be screaming pedophile, child rapist, statuatory rape, and anything else we could to stop that crap. So why should it be any different when they do it in the name of religion here in the U.S. of A??

I lived in the area where a compound was. Very nice people, industrious, shy, kept to themselves except to shop for their needs in local stores. I don't care what they believe or do as long as they are not harming people. Children in particular.

But I was also in the same area, when the Husband of 4 wives (2 of which were sisters) was arrested and put in jail for Welfare fraud. He left 4 wives destitute, and over 20 children homeless and hungry. Know how they were feeding themselves before? Not just welfare, but he would tell the wives to, no, MAKE the wives go dumpster diving behind restraunts and stores and tell them they were blessed to have it. EVIL!

No, children are NOT your little play things. They are NOT a paycheck. They are to be protected, loved, cared for, and kept away from jerks like these that abuse them and make the kids feel that it is just their lot in life.

I say, keep those children away from them and go after any other group that intends to harm, abuse in anyway, or neglect a child.
