McCain - 71, uncommitted, financially-unaware... Bad Idea?

McCain might be a lot of peoples choice, but is he the right one? Then again, are any of the runners?

No he's not lost or confused,
He's just doing his job and
doing it the best way he knows
how, so let's give credit where
credit is due. Thanks

He's just lost and confused. - Four More Years of the same = More tears

I do not believe he has his pulse on what the average person in this country is all about? We all work hard just to put gas in our tanks to take us to jobs where most are grossly underpaid...while he travels around the country in his wife's private jet, trying to be president? What would you call that - I would call in detached from real america! Most of us have more in common with Obama than we do with McCain.

He's just lost and confused. - Four More Years?

McCain would just be another four years of stupidity and misguided policies.

I agree with bensails. How can you be interested in politics without having a clear preference between McCain vs Obama or McCain vs Clinton? I for one think either Democrat is way preferable to McCain.

He's just lost and confused. - Dan Quayle is better - What are you thinking?

Is there anything more disappointing than people with political opinions and then not support anyone? I have to think the folks who offer the "they are all bad and they are all the same" line just aren't informed, either about the candidates or their own views; maybe both. No offense but pick somebody or don't comment.

He's just lost and confused. - McCain is a terrible idea. But then again, so are the other canidates

I think he's not a real conservative, and he doesn't know what to do without someone telling him. But at the same time, I don't like the other options either.

He's solid. He knows what h... - Back to reality...

I think far too many people have put the blame on our goverment for their own current cirumstances. People make bad choices in their lives and then expect the goverment to clean it up for them. Don't get me wrong there are some who need help, but there are some that need to learn to help themselves and quit blaming the goverment for their troubles.
Now to the point. McCain is the man.
Obama lives in fantasy land and thinks we can just go have tea with world powers and change the world.
Back here in reality, we need someone who knows the ropes.
We've occupied many countries and no one's griping, so what's the big deal about us staying in Iraq. People that are over there signed up for it. That was their choice, and most are honored to be serving their country. McCain was one of them many years ago. He knows.
Do not think for one minute that he doesn't care about our troops and bringing them home, he does. He is smart enough to know the reality of Terrorism.
I'd like to see any of us be doing what any of these candidates are doing.
And anyone who sits in the pews of a church and listens to a pastor that spews hatespeak about old white men running countries and damn america
would be a DANGEROUS candidate. People talk at church, he knew what his Pastor was all about and he even had him baptize his kid and marry him. Would you let someone with way out wacky different views than yourself do all that? He called the man a mentor. C'mon. That's a no brainer.

He's had a lot of experience that would be very useful to the current situation. In my opinion, he's a much better choice than the inexperienced Obama

He's solid. He knows what h... - Winning in Iraq is the way

I am too sarcastic for my own good. Check out this article about the 1,000 Iraqi military who deserted in Basra. It's kind of mind numbing to think this war can be won. Hard to understand McCain on this one.
