Is the TSA’s prohibited item list irrational?
Many fliers have run into the difficult problem of getting the precious toe nail clippers confiscated by the airport TSA agents at the checkpoints. While some items are clearly a threat to national security, it is hard to justify taking away grandma

TSA takes no risks and is well within its rights to confiscate anything it deems as a worthy threat.
There are things terrorists can do like slip an object to be used later in an old ladies bag. I think a little inconvenience is worth safety. What if the safety is an illusion? I think public panic is a really bad thing, its better to make people .
THINK they are safe instead of letting them run around in a panic.

-- Posted By Sundrop on November 23, 2007I don't fly too often,but I HAVE flown enough to know what a pain in the tush it CAN be to fly now a days because of TSA. It can't ALL be blamed on terrorism, a lot of it is to do with competence within TSA. At the beginning they even hired felons!
