Who wants to see someone ELSE have sex weather they are gay OR straight? I mean common, if you think about it, anyone who goes out looking for movies or videos with sex in it are pretty pathetic. Go and try to have that experience yourselves.

Stop trying to addict yourself to other people's sex lives and find sex yourself. This should be just narrowed to watching Gay people have sex, but to anyone.

True, i think that its really a sad thing if you get your jollies off on OTHER people having sex, go get your own.
When you keep your blatant heterosexual behaviors, like kissing in public, holding hands walking down the street, putting your arm around your partner etc. Then you MIGHT have an argument.. As with all things, there are extremes, and some movies do go over the line, but no one I know of is forced to sit through a movie they are not enjoying. Do not expect gays to hide so you are more comfortable unless you are willing to hide your hetero behaviors so gays will feel more comfortable.
Disagree, only because your grasp on the english language is poor.

Why? Why take a minority's nasty activity and broadcast it to the world. The nasty things that Homosexuals do should be kept quiet and out of the public eye.

i really have to agree, but i think that ANY sex in the big screen is inappropriate.
This argument is loaded with judgmental language. Do you consider heterosexual sexual activities to be nasty? Would you propose keeping heterosexual sexual activities out of the public eye? If not, you are proposing a double standard that is unfair. If so, you are proposing an elimination of Hollywood's Constitutional right to free speech and then you have opened a whole new can of worms.

Any sex on the big screen is off to me. Gay or not. Shullrd, I think its equally wrong on BOTH sides. However, i think that homosexual coverage in the media is TOO prominent. It crosses boundaries. Example? how about the Gay Rights Parade? Now THATS a scene, by the way do you see a Straight Rights parade? I think not. The point is WHY do gay people bee to broadcast their sexual orientation to the world? Why do they think anyone should care? That is a personal matter, not a public matter. KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. The difference between Gay media and everything else is that in Gay media their sexuality is the POINT of the film, parade, and whatever else. Do Gay people want to be know as the ones who ONLY talk about their sexual orientation and nothing else? And if people don't want to see that, or don't want their children to see that, then it shouldn't be so easily available.

These argument are getting to be quite an entertaining thing

It the straight can do it why can't the gays?

Sundrop2

I don't see why gay people shouldn't be able to see a movie where intimacy happens between gays.

Heterosexual People have tons of movies like that. Why shouldn't gay people?

Why?

If people didn't want to see gay men have sex they wouldn't have gone and seen the movie.

Not a problem for me...

I'm heterosexual but find nothing wrong with homosexual scenes in movies or heterosexual scenes. As long as the scenes are done tastefully and not pornographic it really shouldn't matter.

i agree

It wasn't a porno

-- Posted By twocheetah on August 13, 2008

You're acting like there were showing penetration. It wasn't like that at all. It was like any other sex scene in a Rated R movie. This wasn't a porno. It was a movie about two men who were in love. It was any other love story, except the lovers were men. Get over it. If you didn't like it, don't watch it. But leave it alone.

I love a good love story. Even straight ones, LOL.

It has always disturbed me that people talk about "flaunting sexuality" when describing acts done by LGBT individuals that are perfectly accepted when done by straight individuals (i.e. holding hands in public). There are a myriad of movies with sex scenes and most are very tastefully done. There is nothing wrong with having similar scenes with LGBT characters, unless you would argue that there is something inherently wrong with being LGBT which is a different argument altogether.

I think that boths sides should be able to express themselves.

Why discriminate? If there is going to be gay sex it should be allowed because there is already straight sex. If you take one away then you should take the other also.

You people are pathetic!

-- Posted By ItalianAmore167 on December 8, 2008

First off, why are you homophobes watching this movie to begin with? It is not as though this was shown on national television or forced to be watched by others. You people had to pay money to go see this movie! You did not have to support this! Secondly, why is it okay for movies to show heterosexual sex scenes and not homosexual sex scenes? Sex in general is something that is not needed in a movie. However, if the public is going to accept showing heterosexual sex scenes, it needs to accept the homosexual ones as well. Realize though, that kissing is not in the same category. Two people of the same sex kissing should NOT be considered PORN! Two people of opposite sexes aren’t! In response to one of the above debater’s comments, how is sex a nasty activity? Is it because they are homosexual? Clearly it is because I KNOW you don't think that heterosexual sex is a "nasty activity". What is WRONG with you people? You are making something out of nothing. If you don't like it, don't look. But don't hate because you can't relate! Queer as that sounds, you are acting pathetic! Should we ban rap music because you don't like it? Listen to how pathetic this sounds! Get over it!
