Should the Californian wildfire arsonists receive the death sentence?

Many citizens in California have had to flee their homes due to several large wildfires. 12+ have died and 640,000 people have been displaced. Should the arsonists responsible be put to death?

Anyone who would intentionally start such a disaster deserves to die. Especially when several people were killed as a result.

But it turns out that it was a child playing with fire. The parents then should be responsible. .
