Should Obese people be allowed to expose themselves to the public?
Should Obese (O"beast") people be allowed to go in public wearing just swim wear? I mean, its indecent and disturbing. Say all you want that normal people do the same thing, but NORMAL people show nowhere NEAR the same body mass as a obese person d

Let them do it

Obese (Obeast!) people shouldn't show their bodies to the public world, its disturbing the peace.
Seriously, people generally try to avoid looking at unpleasant or terrifying things.
-- Posted By PayneGuinn on October 13, 2007An Obese person in a swim suite is a terrible and horrifying thing. What? Look away? To where? If someone is large enough you'll see em no matter what. A tread mill is the thing for them, at HOME until they are better suited for the public. .

I was that large due to problems with my metabolism most teens my age didn't have. So, in this case, those who are telling me to stay inside are probably in a less healthy fitness situation than me. Looks aren't everything.
I personally don't think that ANYONE should "expose" themselves in public.
-- Posted By Alice on December 29, 2007I mean, there are things that shouldn't be shared with the public and I think that your naked body is one of them. There are a lot of different types of bodies out there and some might be more different than just obese, for instance albinos and such. truth be told though, if someone IS running around naked, then I would rather see an attractive body than a not so attractive body, but I think that obese people shouldn't be singled out. So my answer to "should obese people be allowed to expose their bodies to the public?" NO!!! But neither should anyone else.
Everyone has seen/will see what is under every persons clothing. It's not really a horrible thing. A naked person is a naked person. I personally wouldn't mind letting my johnson fly around when it's 90 degrees outside. It's so hot and I get so sweaty.
Hunter7Taylor08 why don't we just making clothing optional, therefore it's a win win. If someone wants to show their body, they can. If they don't, then they won't. I personally could care less what I'm looking at, considering it's all the same.
I'm fourteen.
It's is really disturbing to go to the pool and see gross fat people, munching on a huge bag of doritos, throw away their empty bag and waddle into the pool. It's just gross, seriously!
If they lost some weight and actually TRIED to be healthy, maybe they could go for a swim.
Maybe they should just have a "fat swim" time for only fat people? Then skinny people like me (I'm 5'3" and weigh 85 lbs.) don't have to look at these giant balls of fat with legs and a mountain of chins.
Larger people have feeling and shouldn't be excluded from the same activities that normal people enj
Obese, or fat people are still people. When do you draw the line? When THIS person is this and this weight, THEN they are good to go to the pool? Stop getting into other people's lives and take care of your OWN personal demons. .

Some people have eating disorders and cant f**king help it you douche bag. Im sure there are lots of things that can be said about you in order to make you feel like s!%t about something that you cant change. Maybe I am grossed out by your face. I shouldn't have to look at your stupid f$$king head if its gross right? F&*k off you moron. Half the people on this site are f!*king racist, homophobic or prejudice. Probably Christian, too. .
There are a lot of factors that go into a person's body type: genetics, job, childhood. It's not just a questions of people choosing to be big. To say these people should be sheltered away until they fit YOUR idea of attractive. I can't believe this is even a discussion!
I don't think that anyone should be exposing themselves in public, despite what their size is. I guess if you mean, "should fat people go out in tank tops and shorts?" then the answer is yes! No one should have to cover themselves up because they fear that they may offend someone else.
Come on now. You are saying just because they are heavy they can't do stuff they enjoy? If they can't do this stuff then how do you expect them to loose the weight and become skinny like you want them to be?
I'd like to say a few things. To say that thick people need to cover up is sick, I think bony ass bitches need to cover their shit, how bout that? Did you know that the modern look people like today would've been viewed as the poor peasant class? Not to mention, the modern look of skinny women HAS BEEN CHOSEN BY MEN THAT AREN'T NECESSARILY INTERESTED IN WOMEN. That's why these models have little boy asses and little bony bodies. Think about it. You either are a follower and like what people tell you to like, or you know what' hot for yourself. Anybody not ignorant of genetics could easily see why skinny guys are attracted to thick bitches, and although it's not always the case, it would lead to healthier offspring.
Yall don't know SHIT. Millions of dollars have been made on songs like Meech's Thicka than a Snicka, or Soulja Boy's She Got a Donk,
so figure that shit out man, cause i'm lovin it
It is prejudice no matter what the opposition says. We would not dare to say the same thing about someone because of their race, so tell me why is it ok to be like that because of someone's size?
They have the right to show whatever they want as long as they aren't naked. If you're big be proud of it.
Personally I think that we are all the same under our clothing. What's the differance between a "fat person" and skinny person other then your subjective opinion. The only reason they are fat is because of the way society depicts them.
Look back a few centuries ago, those who were well fed were wealthy and considered pretty. Now those people would be considered fat. If you don't believe me, just look at the artwork of a couple centuries ago where men would worship "fat" woman.
The true problem relies in hollywood. Apparently, the people that support this debate would rather see skin and bones rather then a lot of skin and person. Personally, I think skin and bones is more discusting of the two. Some of the people in hollywood, look like the houlocost victims. Sure that's a little sarcasm, but not much.
Thirdly, what is the differance? You will see what's under the clothing at least once in your lifetime. No matter what your orientation is. I personally could care less if we didn't wear clothes at all. I don't really know what the point of clothing is. Look at tribes in Africa and South America and our ancestors. They didn't wear clothing before, why do it now?
In conclusion, "fat" people aren't really fat. It's just your subjective opinion. Just because you don't like it, it shouldn't happen? Well, I don't like pepsi. Does that mean we should destroy the recipe and ban it? It seems kinda childish and silly to me.
Why SHOULDN'T they? Saying they can't is being prejudice against people who do not fit the "ideal" body image that is pushed in America. If you don't like the way something looks, don't look! There are worse things to worry about than how someone looks in public. If they want to dress a certain way, that is their right!
The world today has such a perverse fixation on what everyone should look like and they make this "ideal image" on the outside appearance only and that is very sad.I personally don't think anyone should where revealing clothing with boobs and stomach showing no matter what you look like. I don't think anyone should be excluded from any activity due to size, shape, or color or any other reason for that matter. If the world continues to exclude larger people then the world is just going to be consumed with more larger people because they are going to feel worthless and it's going to turn them to something else whether it be food, booze, drugs,etc...Should larger people take care of themselves, yes they should but excluding them from activities and putting them down is not going to hel the situation at all.
Usually people who are so adament about this stuff are trying to compensate for something...
-- Posted By tourist895 on August 24, 2008Seriously. While I do not believe that obesity is something that should be encouraged (I recognize there are some with medical conditions that cannot help their weight, but realistically...most are just lazy), however this is a free country. As it is a free country, people are allowed to do whatever they want as long as it does not directly effect your RIGHTS. These people are people too, and if you don't like what you see, turn around and go somewhere else. Otherwise suck it up and deal.
