When a woman marries should she take her husband's name?

There is a modern trend for a woman to retain their own last name or hyphenate it with their husband's.

If a man is good enough for her to marry, the woman should honor him by taking his name.

she would do it to "honor" him. There are various, personal, reasons to do so, but I doubt many would cite "honor" as one of them. If it's about honor, then why don't men change their names to the woman's? . Also, it's a pain to change all your bills and identification to your new name. .

I agree. I don't see anything wrong with it, but I also don't see any reason why it should be a problem if someone wanted to keep their last name. A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.
